OMNET++ MIXIM MANUAL

OMNET++ MIXIM MANUAL is an OMNeT++ modeling framework created for mobile and fixed wireless networks (wireless sensor networks, body area networks, ad-hoc networks, vehicular networks, etc.). MiXiM Simulator is currently the recommended framework for detailed wireless simulations. It offers detailed models of radio wave propagation, interference estimation, radio transceiver power consumption and wireless MAC protocols (e.g. Zigbee)

Mobility framework:

• Used to the reference platform for doing mobile/ad-hoc simulations with OMNeT++.
• MF-embraces the framework approach, and emphasizes decoupled, pluggable components even in the physical layer.
• MF is not actively developed any more, the developers have moved on to create MiXiM.
• MF includes a 802.11 model (ad-hoc mode only), but currently, alas, no routing protocol.
